The Assistant
Assistant Wast'O (widget label « Wast'O Agent ») is the citizen chat for sorting and collection help. It uses the municipality’s waste sheets, calendar and recycling centres, with optional escalation to a human agent.

How it works
- Citizen opens chat with a city (
cityId), optionally a sector (placeId). GET /public/chat/availabilitychecks ASSIST'O; otherwise the FAB stays hidden.- Messages go through
POST /public/chat/conversations/.../messages: decision tree → deterministic RAG → optional LLM reformulation → low confidence escalates to the agent inbox. - Public rate limit: ~20 req / min per device (or IP) → HTTP 429.
Grounding
Collection days and sorting rules come from Wast-O data, not free-form LLM invention. With LLM off, answers are formatted search results.
Enable for a municipality
- Enable ASSIST'O on the city group (contract / Wast-O support).
- Keep waste sheets and calendars up to date.
- Assistant IA → Installation site web: pick city + colour, copy snippet.
- Paste on the website (or use
AssistantChatEmbed/ iframe). - Smoke-test: sorting, next collection, recycling centre.
Beta limits
- No EPCI FAQ / intent editor in the console.
- No CSAT UI or rich source citations yet.
- No vector embeddings — deterministic retrieval only.
